Avenir is designed by Adrian Frutiger, It is a sans-serif typeface. It was released in 1988 by Linotype. Frutiger’s intention was to create a timeless typeface and also organic interpretation of geometric style. In designing the playing cards, I want to use organic and geometric patterns  symmetry to show the balance. I also choose clean looking, minimal, powerful composition. The four suits will be different in design to recognise in style and colour. The face cards will be more detailed, intricate and rich.
